Great South Indian Singer P Susheela Asks Oscar Winner AR Rahman To Direct Her Biopic
A. R. Rahman talks about his new project with P. Susheela in his recent session on Twitter.
The legendary singer P. Susheela has worked on more than 100 songs in her long music career. She has and is still winning the hearts and blessing everyone’s ear with her honey-like voice. She has worked with many talented composers and has collaborated with A.R. Rahman for the song "Kannukku Mai Azhagu"
Recently, A.R. Rahman joined the Twitter space to communicate with his fans and to promote his film, 99 songs. In the session, he revealed that the legendary south Indian singer P. Susheela has asked him to direct her biopic. Talking about the small chat with P. Susheela, he said ‘’I was talking to the great south Indian singer P Susheela ma on Saturday, and I asked her if she had watched 99 Songs. I told her that it is out on Netflix, and she asked me what's that. Later, her brother, who was with her spoke, to me and I told him to show her the Telugu version of our film on OTT. After watching, she called back and said, 'This is very good. And then she added, 'I want my story to be made this way, will you help it? That was epic. She is one of the legends and she has sung thousands of songs and has been there for seven generations. And she is one of my favorite singers and seeing someone from that generation responding to my film that way was lovely." A. R. Rahman is absolutely grateful to work with a veteran singer, P. Susheela again.
A.R. Rahaman’s co-written and produced film ‘’99 songs’’ is directed by Vishwesh Krishnamoorthy and stars Ehan Bhat and Edilsy Vargas in the lead roles. The film talks about his journey in pursuing his dream as well as finding the love of his life.
